DARING RAIDS BY ROBBER
TWO CONSTABLES HELD UP SECOND ESCAPE IN A DAY DISAPPEARANCE IN BUSH By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 1'0,30 p.m. Brisbane, Dec. 18. An armed robber at Rockhampton held at' bay two unarmed constables wlio found him hiding under a bridge yesterday. The robber escaped. He compelled a boy to hand oter his pony on which lie rode into the bush, but he returned at night and held up the landlady of a local hotel. The woman threw a bottle at him and screamed. The robber, again escaped. The marauder changed into different clothes and since then he has not been seen. The incident is, reminiscent of bushranging days in Australia.
