Temperatures are rising. An anti-cyclone of slight intensity covers New Zealand. The cyclone referred to yesterday is now centred. south-east of Sydney and. is of considerable intensity. There will be ; moderate, .variable winds in, the South •Island tending to northerly and later freshening, Elsewhere there will be moderate to strong southerly winds also veering later to northerlies. Seas will . be moderate. :
