COST OF WOMEN’S DRESS
ESTIMATE BY A DRAPER. A statement that a working woman could dress herself on £l4 5s a year, including £3 a year for shoes, was made by Mr. T. C. Craven, draper, of Adelaide, when giving evidence lately at the women’s basic Wage inquiry. Mr. Craven quoted figures to show how prices had decreased Since 1019 and ■ said that the decrease was accounted for because most of the clothing worn by the average woman was made in. Australia. .
