STRATFORD ASSOCIATION MEETS REVIEW OF YEAR’S OPERATION’S. Though the credit balance was not as large as that of the previous year due to the annual ball not being a. financial success, the association was in a good position to commence another year, stated the report presented to the annual meeting.of the Stratford Technical High School Old Pupils Association last night, Mr, L. Coldwell presided over a good attendance. With regard to the chief activities or the ’ association for the past year, the executive reported that an enjoyable tennis match was played between teams from the. Technical High School and the association at the end of the school year in 1029, and though the association team won it was a very interesting match. , ■ -Early in the season a dance committee organised a ©mail dance in the Parish Hall. This was an outstanding success both socially and'financially, the hall being packed. The.annual reunion ball; held earlier this year, had been a very successful function. The weather was. not of the best, and as a result there was a slight loss. The function was well organised and the committee went to a great'deal of work in the preparation of thb hall. The decoration scheme was the finest ever, seen m the Stratford town hall. . . During the year the executive select-ed-gn.association blazer. Arrangements had- been made for the supply of badges. The. executive recommended that a strong effort should be made to put the association- on a more stable footing and tiiat a definite programme be. mapped but for the year’s activities. It would be pleasing to see more of the older members., taking an active part and entering into the functions to retain the old school ties.” • ~ The report and balance-sheet showing a credit of £9 4s 7d were adopted. Officers elected were: President, Mr. L. Coldyell; vice-presidents, Miss M. Elgar and Mr. T. Mills; - secretary, Air. M-. Thompson; auditor, Mr. A. R. Masexecutive, Misses H. Grant, JJ. Mills and S. Pearce, Messrs‘J. Carryer, R Boyd, />. Young, F.. Sanderson and F. Bowler.
