MAN ELECTROCUTED
LIVE MTRE ROUND A ROPE. . A young 'man, George ' Campbell, agety 23, met his death in extraordinary circumstances in a boatshed at Kyle Bay, George’s River, New South Wales, lately. He had been spending the week-end there and had been swimming.- When he and Miss Dorothy Meek came out of the water they .felt cold, and. I started to skip.' \ / "I;;; // ■/ :•/J Finding that the skipping rope was too heavy Mr. Campbell went into a boatshed to get another that was hanging on a hook. On touching it he received the'force of a current of 250 volts'.and fell to the ground, where- Miss. Meek found him a few rhoments later, His brother, who was near by, summoned a doctor, and every effort was made to induce respiration by artificial means. After half an hour, however, it was evident that life was extinct. It was ascertained that a live electric light, wife had bj;en coiled round the’ rope. l ; . . , , - •
