DECISION ON ALARM DEFERRED. ' ■/!■ ■ The quarterly.. meeting of the .New Plymouth Fire Board last night decided to hold over the matter’ of the alarm for another three months. Mr. W. C. . Weston, chairman of the. board, reported that he had been shown oyer/the <: • ■Wellington system.. ■ He considered’ ,;the. ’ alarm a most' efficient one. The superintendent was asked to report upon . at the.next meeting of the board! The fire brigade had experienced an-. other, quiet quarter, • stated thfe report/'/ of the s.iiperlijtendent, Mr. A.. Booh, Five ; calls had .been received, only two being/.- ; actual fires .'in the borough.
