COASTAL MOVEMENTS. The Opihi loaded at Dunedin on Saturday for New' Plymouth, via southern ports. She is due at New Plymouth on Friday and returns the same day to Wellington. (U.S.S. Co.) The John left Dunedin on Monday for New Plymouth, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wanganui, and is due at New Plymouth on Saturday, sailing the same day for Port Waikato. (Hooker Bros.) The Hauturu arrived at New Plymouth from Onehunga yesterday morning with 130 tone and sailed last night for Onehunga. (Northern Co.) The Kartigi sailed for Auckland last night after discharging coal and poles from Greymouth. (UJS.S. Co.) The Kaimanawa. with 750 tons of cargo, is due at New Plymouth from Westport late to-morrow afternoon. She will proceed late the following day to Wellington. (U.S.S. Co.). The Kaituna is duo at Greymouth on Friday to load 300 tons of cargo for New Plymouth, where she is expected on Sunday. She should sail the following day for Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.).

The Progress arrived at New Plymouth from south yesterday and sailed in the afternoon fop Port Waikato. She will load at Dunedin on Monday for New Plymouth, where she is due on December 29 via Lyttelton and Wellington. (Hooker Bros.)

KARAMEA SAILS TO-DAY. i

The Karamea is expected to sail from New Plymouth for Napier this afternoon. The vessel is loading 6000 boxes of butter, 8000 crates of .cheese and 25,000 freight carcases of meat for London. She will load also at Wellington and Lyttelton and is to sail from Lyttelton on January 3 for London, via Panama. PORT HUON UNLOADING. After unloading explosives at the Motphi anchorage the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Huon berthed at Auckland on Monday afternoon to discharge about 4000 tons of general merchandise from London. She is to sail to-morrow, evening for Wellington to complete discharge. The vessel will lift dairy prod'/ce at New Plymouth about January 2. POOLTA FOR AUCKLAND. ~ Wireless advice from the Union Conisteamer Poolta states that she expects to arrive at Auckland to-morrow evening. The vessel has cargo from Grafton, Port Stephens and Newcastle for Auckland, Wellington and New Plymouth. TONGARIRO FOR FINAL LOADING. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tongariro is to leave Napier for Auckland to-day to complete loading for England. The vessel is due at Auckland on Friday and is scheduled to sail for London, via Panama, next Tuesday. The vessel carries cargo from New Plymouth. PORT BRISBANE AT LONDON. The C. and D. Line steamer Port Brisbane is reported to have reached London on Sunday. She left Wellington' on November 8 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool' and Glasgow, via Cape Htfrn. The vessel carries dairy produce from New Plymouth. HERTFORD LEAVES COLON. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received.cabled advice that the Hertford, which left Auckland on Novernbei* 19 for Londoi/, left Colon on December 10. She carries Taranaki dairy produce.
