,Wellington, Last Night. On his pleading guilty to-day in ths Magistrate’s Court Eric Reeves, who was intoxicated in charge of a motorcar, was fined £4O and his driving license was cancelled for three yeans by Mr. E. Page, S.M. • - On behalf of Reeves counsel contended the offence was merely. a technical one. Reeves had had a certain amount of drink that night which in ordinary times would not have affected him. When Reeves left the house where he had been drinking he was jsober but the fresh air affected him and to his surprise he realised he was not .quite sober. He stopped the car so he could recover. He had pulled up in the eafesj spot possible.
