SUOCES'SfFUL SOCIAL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The social evening given by “The Vicarage Party” in the supper-room of the hall, on Wednesday was a great success both as far as the number, present and the, enjoyment were concerned. Games, competitions, dancing, songs and supper to finish ensured a very pleasant time. The competitions were won by Miss H. Clarke and Master Bert Tyrrell. Miss Sole sang a solo, for which she received an encore and Mr. Sole in his comic solo, brought down the house with laughter. Those who assisted with the mu'sic were Mrs. W. Butler, Misses P. Waswo, I. Lewis and V. Morrow and Mr. S. Mackey. Mr. Rolf Sheppard, nephew' of Mr. and Mrs. J. Colmer, who was married to Miss Watkins, Waverley, has returned from his honeymoon and with his bride has been spending a few days visiting friends. Their home is to be at Hawera, The afternoon tea on sale day was given'by the Anglican ladies. The Sunday School anniversary is to be held in the hall on Sunday, there being so many children the chuich would be°too small. The presentation of prizes will be held on Wednesday in the hall at 7.30 in the evening.
