CONCERT AT WAITARA

’ PUPILS OF ST. ’ JOSEPH’S.' ' ‘ ! An enjoyable concert, arranged by the I sisters of St.’Joseph’s Convent,’Waitara, and carried out by the pupils and assist- : i D V artists took place in St. John’s Hall last night. There was a large, and appreciative audience and the performance , bespoke considerable care on the part, of those responsible for the concert and ■ decided ability by the performers: A feature of the concert was the cos- ; turning, many of the items being brightened by the ‘varied garb of the dancers and singers.* The programme was afull one it was carried out without a hitch from the time that six children playing in. trios on two pianos opened with a march until the final chorus had been sung. .
