AUCKLAND SALESMAN’S OFFENCE By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Dec. 5. • Vivian Henry George Wirk, aged 35, a salesman, was sentenced to _ three months’ imprisonment for being intoxL cated while in charge of a car. , The defence pleaded that he was not driving the car, but only sitting in it. The° magistrate learned thax defendant had been twice previously convicted, and remarked: “I am not going.to have' these .men playing the fool with cars.” Defendant also lost his license for two years.
