CONVERTED A MOTOR-CAR
YOUTH BEFORE THE MAGISTRATE. For being unlawfully in possesri6n, °‘ a motor-car belonging to Stanley son but not so as to be guilty of theft Gordon Coad, aged 17, was yesterday ordered to come up for sentence if called on within six months. He was convicted and discharged in the New Plymouth Court fer driving without a license. Senior-Sergeant McCrOrie said Coad had been staying with Mrs. Farquharson in Woolcombe Terrace for three years. He drove a milk cart but had been out of work for three months. t The previous day he was seen starting a car belonging to Mrs. Farquharton’s son He was arrested at Stratford and said he had been driving a man. He did not know who his parents were. Except for a breach of the by-laws he had not been before the Court before. The magistrate dealt with the case after obtaining a report from the probation officer.
