The Swedish vessel Hedvig is ashore and breaking up on a coral reef 350 miles south of Hong Kong. In response to urgent distress signals H.M.S. Stormcloud is rush-, ing to her assistance, but very heavy seas and the dangerous neighbourhood are likely to prevent the rescue of the fourteen people aboard the Hedvig.
