The death of Mr. M. J. Connington, a. member- of the New South_ Wales Legislative Council, a leading union advocate in the industrial courts and a former member of the Sydney Board of Trade, is reported by cable frpm Sydney.
Bidding farewell to,Dr. T. H. A. A alintine on his retirement, as DirectorGeneral of Health, members of the New Zealand Hospital Board's Association yesterday eulogised his work in connection with the establishment of the hospital system of the Dominion and, on behalf of members of hospital boards, Mr. Wallace, chairman Of the association, made a presentation to Dr. N alintine in recognition of his long and valuable service, says a Wellington Press • Association message.
