MEAT STRIKE SETTLED
DECISION OF COMMISSION WORK TO RESTART ON TUESDAY. UNION MUST DECIDE TO-MORROW. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—CopyrightRec. 8.39 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 3. The attempt to settle the meat strike was concluded before the Industrial Commission to-day, both sides on this occasion agreeing to abide by the decision. The commission ordered, the meat industry employees 'to return to work next Tuesday on the terms of the original award and. all issues in the existing dispute will be determined by the commission at, an early date. The employees’ union has been given till Friday to decide whether it will have the men back at work on Tuesday, failing which the commission will call upon the union to show cause why the present award should not be rescinded and the union de-registered. .
