Rec. 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 22. > “It pays other people to stir up trouble in our country,” said Judge Roche when sentencing five white and 17 Arabs to terms ranging from three to 16 months’ imprisonment in connection with the South Shields riots on August 2. He recommended that 16 Arabs should be deported and asked whence th© money for supporting the minority movement was derived. A police inspector replied that one of the accused was a member of a delegation to a conference in Russia. The Judge: “That is what I generally find.” Commenting on the statement the two whites leading the trouble were pro-fessional-agitators, Judge Roche said: “Tljpy took care to be away when the trouble came. They are all cowards really.”
