BRUTAL MURDER SUSPECTED

Mary Dean, aged 25, a school tcachei, died early thi«s morning from a fractured Skull and shocking internal injuries. The police believe it is a case of brutal murder overshadowing the Mona Griffiths crime. The dead woman was found m a lane at the Elwood suburb. It was at first thought she had been outraged, but a post-mortem to-day did not substantiate this theory- There were extensive fractures of the skull and evidence o an attempt to strangle, her, apart tiom internal injuries. Miss Dean attended a theatre party last night. She possessed considerable literary gifts. ,
