WEATHER IMPROVING.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Indications for the week-end are favourable. The recent depression is now east of New Zealand and a moderate anti-cyclone is crossing the north lasman Sea. Pressure is still very low, however, at Chatham Islands, while a slight depression is centred in Bass Strait. There will be moderate to strong south? westerly, winds decreasing and veering gradually to west jn and south of Cook Strait. Seas will still be rough on the west coast and there will be considerable swell south of Castle Point. The weather will still be changeable with scattered showers. Temperatures will be cool but will become milder.
