OLD BOYS HEAVY DEFEAT THREE POINT WIN FOR SCHOOL. i' 1 BOYS OUTPLAY THEIR OPPONENTS Completing the senior A grade cricket match begun on November 8, New Plymouth Boys’ High School inflicted a severe defeat on Old Boys yesterday afternoon by an innings and 33 runs. Both Eggleton and Saxton were dismissed before adding to their score, and the rest of the team increased the total by only 17 runs, the innings closing for 59. The team followed on and made a better showing of 120 thanks chiefly to 23 by Brown and 31 by Kirwin. Both batted vigorously. Papps made 11, H. Fookes 18. and L. , Petty 12. - ?■'.

' The School team outplayed its opponents, making its best showing for a very long time. In the Old Boys’ first innings Andrews and Morrison bowled unchanged, the former taking four wickets .for T 9 with a consistent length and sharp nip from the off. Morrison found the wind of great assistance with his slow leg breaks, and took six for 36. In the second innings ndrews, Morrison and Bottrill all secured good averages.
