ANNUAL MEETING OF COUNCIL • (PROGRESS OF THE MOVDMEST, ' -1. By Telegraph.—Press Association. I Wellington, Nov. ISA. The annual meeting of the I Dominioa Council of Boy Scouts was held to-day, Dr. Fenwick' (Christchurch) presiding. He said the executive had been strengthened by the inclusion of the commissioners in tho four centres. The appointment of metropolitan commissioners was a step forward and it was his ambition' that every district commissioner might extend his activities until he had 20 troops under his care and would become a metropolitan commissioner. He referred to the impending visit of the Chief' Scout' and Chief Guide. > . -.■ ■V-V/A He said he could conceives o'f no better, way of training the young people of to-day to grow up into good men and women than the lesSons taught in the' Scout and Guide movements. I ■ Captain J. R. Kirk (Gisborne) was' elected chairman of the council fori 1930-31. It was decided that the English medal for merit would be .available to be a.warded to all Scouts as provided in the English policy of organisation anA •rules. ,
