NEW PARTY FORMED IN EGYPT
INDEPENDENCE CHIEF AIM. ANGLO-EGYPTIAN FRIENDSHIP. By Telegraph—-Press Assn.—Copyright. Cairo, November 18. Under the presidency of Sidky Pasha and the vice-presidency of Tewfik Pasha, a New People’s Party has been formed to secure Egypt’s independence, sovereign rights in the Sudan and a cordial Anglo-Egyptian agreement. The outstanding questions are the abolition of capitulations, the preservation of Egypt and foreign friendships, Egypt’s entry •into the League, the safeguarding of national powers, th? rights of the Throne, the independence of the magistracy and internal reforms.
