ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION
ESCAPE OF LORD STRICKLAND. FIFTEEN YEARS’ IMPRISONMENT. By ‘ Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Malta, November 18. Guiseppe Miller, charged'with'attempting to assassinate Lord Strickland, was found guilty and was sentenced to 15 years’ hard labour. Defence witnesses, including medical, and ballistic experts, testified that Miller fired slantingly towards the ceiling at an altitude exceeding a man’s height.
