TIMBER CARRYING VESSEL
ADDITION TO-UNION FLEET. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Kini, a new coastal vessel built for the Union Steam Ship Company by John Lewis and Co., Aberdeen, is expected to leave Britain early in December for Wellington, via Panama. She hsa a dead-weight carrying capacity of about 1800 tons and is especially designed for the carriage of long timber poles. She has two. hatches and her engines are amidships. Her sea speed is eight, knots.
