QUEEN ANNE’S BOUNTY. amount of, Corn rent. A curious application was made &t MiddleteS Sessions recently, When -ir. P. E. Sandlands applied, on behalf of the Dean and Chapter of Christ Church, Oxford, and the Governors of Queen Anne’s bounty, tor the appointment Of three referees to inquire into a,nd ascertain the average price Of a Winchester bushel of marketable wheat in the county Of Middlesex during the past M years, in order that the amount of the Corn rent awarded by a local Act of lso3 to the vicar of Harrow and. the Dean and Chapter might be reascertained. \ Counsel 01-plaihed that at the time the Aet Was passed the Michaelmas Sessions were directed to be held iff the Week of the Feast of St. Michael. The Chairman, Sir Montagu Sharpe, K.C., remarked that the Archangel had not had his feast yet. The application was adjourned.
