Forbes and members of the New Zealand delegation to the Imperial Conference sail ! , on their return by the Ormonde on De-f cember 6. Mr. Forbes, accompanied by Mr. For* syth, visited the Smithfield, market,;.where they were welcomed by Mr. Conoily, chairman of the Markets Committee, and numerous salesmen. Mr. Con* oily paid a high tribute to the quality of New Zealand meat. Mr- Forbes said that he was gratified to learn at first hand that New Zei»land produce was so good, and hoped that the increasing supplies would meet, %lE £: the same satisfied market. Much of . the success was due to the Dominion’®, representation, notably the goodwill Mr. Forsyth had established. Mr. G. W. Forbes spent an afternoon ' at the Ministry of Agriculture’s quaran- i-5 tine station at the East Indies Docks inquiring of the possibilities for .modify- >.' j ing New Zealand’s embargo against ini' i portations of stud stock from Britain. •*&« Mr. Forbes spends November 19 i® Edinburgh, November 20 at Glasgow. the next week-end at Leeds, November 24 at Bradford, November 25 at Liver* pool, and November 26 at Manchester, returning to London ou November 27. -'j He will spend December 1 at Dublin. .470 and December 2 at Belfast, arriving back at London on December 4.
