LIVES RUINED BY SPORT
‘FRITTER AWAY BEST YEARS’
NOTED RUGBY PLAYER’S ADVICE.
WARNING TO YOUTH OF ENGLAND.
By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, Nov. 16. Mr. I. Stuart, the Irish international at present master in charge of Rugby at Harrow, declares that he has seen lives of too many men ruined by devotion to Rugby and indeed to all forms of sport. Many boys were obsessed with the. idea that nothing mattered except the school XV. Many varsity- men frittered away their best years because of their desire for a Blue. They were full of the false idea that they could make up the lost time when their Rugby days were'over. Nothing in the world was so fickle as the adoration of a crowd, whose memory was very short.
