LADY CARROLL’S FUNERAL
LONG CORTEGE FOLLOWS. ■ By T»l«rr»ph.-—Press Association. Gisborne, Nov. 6. The funeral of Lady Carroll this afternoon was largely attended, by representative European and Maoris. The cortege was a lengthy one, the City Band providing music. The coffin was received at the burial-ground with the customary laments. Bishop Bennett, assisted by a number of Native clergy, conducted the service, Lady Carroll being laid to rest in a special tomb alongside her husband.
