IMPROVING WEATHER.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be cool and changeable with showers at first in most districts, but soon improving generally. A rather sharp depression has been passing rapidly east of, the Dominion. To-day a moderate anticyclone is moving over the northern Tasman Sea, while a new depression is now covering south-eastern Australia. Aloderato to strong south-westerly winds may be expected, decreasing and later veering to westerlies again m the south. Beas will be rather rough south of Ca&tlepoint and about Cook Strait; elsewhere smooth to moderate.
