GATHERING AT THE SCHOOL.
Last ' Thursday morning Sister Ingles and Miss Lissington, Dominion secretary of the junior Red Cross, paid a visit to the Te Roti School. Despite the earlv hour quite a.number of parents wefe present. Miss Lissington gave aji. interesting and instructive aadress, speaking of the good work that is being done by the members of the junior Red. Cross. Keen interest was shown by the children in the. poitfoaos and photographs of the various other branches of the Red Cross.. Mrs. Finch, head teacher thanked Miss Lissington for her address.. A number of folk dances and songs were contributed by the children, and morning tea was supplied, by Mrs. Finch. Master Ray Sadler has returned home from hospital and is making good progress from his recent severe operation. Mr. and Mrs. W. Grierson are. spending; their annual leave in the Waikato, ’ Mrs. Joseph Kelly is on a holiday yifjt to Stratford.
