“PATRONS MUST BE PROTECTED.”
By Telegraph.—Presi Association. Hamilton, Oct. 31.
“Patrons must be protected from larrikins of this type,” said Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., in the Huntly Magistrate’s Court to-day when Robert Williamson, Pukekopia, was sentenced to one year’s reformative detention on a charge of assault at a dance. It was shown that defendant, who entered into an argument with another man, drew a knife and stabbed his companion in the hand. Defendant was under the influence of liquor and had been before the court previously for a similar offence.
