TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS INJURED
EXPLOSION AT WELLINGTON SHO
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A photographer and his assistant were injured to-night when a deafening explosion, accompanied by a blinding flash of light, shook the Wellington winter show building, where a British motor-car show is being held. Suffering from extensive burns to their faces and hands, Leslie Wallace, a photographer, and Ronald Prescott, his assistant, are in hospital. Wallace and his assistant were preparing to take a flashlight photograph of the “Golden Arrow” when without warning the magnesium powder in the holder exploded with a tremendous report. The accident caused alarm in the building, in which it was estimated that there were fully 1000 persons.
