The death is reported from Sydney of Dr. E. M. Brissenden, K.C, aged 67, after a brief illness. He was one of the most popular and probably .the most picturesque figures of the New South Wales Bar, being a natural humorist. Many parents gathered on Thxxrsday at the Oakixra School,' where the children presented Mr. A.. E. Maholi, who takes up the position of headmaster at Alangatoki on Monday, with a suitably inscribed inkstand. The presentation was made by Master Jack Rusling, the senior boy.
