SOUTH TARANAKI TOURNAMENT.

Excellent entries, totalling 96 to date, have been'received for the Hawera Golf Club’s tournament, which will open tomorrow. Though” many players are attending the. New Zealand championships at Palmerston North,, entries have been received from all over Taranaki, and. include a number of well-known players. Late entries are being received until noon to-morrow. HAWERA BOXING TOURNEY.
DOMINION OFFICIALS TO ATTEND.
Representatives of the executive committee of the New Zealand Boxing Council will attend the tourney of the Hawera Boxing Association on October 31, and will take advantage of the challenge match, Wellington amateurs v. Taranaki amateurs,, to secure data, for the eelection of the New Zealand boxers to represent, the Dominion in South Africa next year.
