This fpiepdly little note was Jeft by. a thief who broke into the Cafenef restaurant in Swanson Street last night.. Tlje robbery -was discovered by a milkman early thi§ morning whep he found all three doors open. ' . ■ The thief entered the restaurant t>y forcing the lock on the front door with a jemxpy which he Ipft on the doormat. ■Marks on the safe indicated that an attempt had been made to force it open but the locks- held - fast. • The cash register had been shifted from-the counter into the pantry but all that, the thief got ip the way .of money was a bad penny that looked ji}ce a half 7 crown and a foreign coin that resembled a threepenny bit. After drinking’ a bottle of cordial the thief selected 30 packet# of and left.
