CHINESE CAPTURE PRIESTS
TRAGIC RECORD OF THE I’BAR. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Shanghai, Oct. 21. A further outrage upon foreign missionaries is reported in official telegrams reaching Peking. It appears that Communists captured a Roman Catholic Bishop and a number of priests and sisters at Kianfu, killing two priests. The Bishop and one priest have been released, presumably to arrange for a ransom. During 1930 over 100 foreign missionaries were captured by bandits, of whom about one-third were murdered.
