TWO SHOTS FROM REVOLVER.
STRUGGLE WITH DAIRYMAN.

A fierce struggle between a dairyman and a bandit took place at Manly, Sydney, early one morning recently, when two. employees;’were bailed up .at revolver's ’point. Mr. W. McGladdery was working in. the dairy, when ,iTie masked man sud- ■'! denly the doorway. “Get into the boileK'Sfpuse,” he said, to Mr. McGladdery,as the latter was un* armed, 'h#'Mpyed. c Mr. McGladdery had just been locked, in when Mr. E. 'Brimbecome arrived *o start work. He walked in unaware of his danger. When he , called for Mr. McGladdery the "bandit stepped out of the darkness and covered him with, his revolver. . ..Mr. Brimbecome was also told to go into the room .and join Mr. McGladdery, and he made a show /of doing ./So. However, lie turned sudden-, ly and threw himself on the bandit. Both men fought ’desperately. Mr.; Brimlbecome attempted to wrest the revolver from the bandit, who tried to bring it into use. A violent blow by ■jiv. Brimbecome struck the weapon ?frdm the bandit’s.hand and it clattered to 'i'he floor. A few moments later the •, dairyman again struck the intruder and /fdjrgetting the • revolver on the ground, jpt him fall. As soon as he struck the # floor the bandit seized his revolver and Hired point blank.' The bullet missed, >; ‘ and MX. Brimlbecome fled. As he ran, anothertjshot was fired, and it also failed to take effect.
The man waited- only a few seconds to light ai'-'-ci'garette before he left the dairy.i The ‘police were on the. scene a few minutes’ later, but could find DO trace of him.
