J John Dimond Watson, aged 28, a coal min'er residing at Runanga, was electrocuted this afternoon while using a vacuum cleaner to clean the upholstering of a motor-car prior to attending a funeral. Death was instantaneous. It is stated that Watson stood on a cord lying on wet ground, either a . leak or a short circuit causing his death. He was a native of Gosford, England, and arrived at Runanga three years ago. He had been married six months.
