CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY SECOND ROUND ON HEAVY COURSE. AFTERNOON BOGEY COMPETITION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, October 18. Though fine in Wellington, the weather at Heretauuga this morning was dull and overcast and the course heavy for the second round of the Dominion .ladies’ golf championships, following rain in the early hours. Results were:— Mrs. Collins beat Mrs. Steel 2 and 1. Mrs. G. Williams beat Mrs. D. Stout 6 and 4. Mrs. J. Spiers beat Miss V. Upham i> and 4. Miss Kay beat Miss Culling, 5 and 4. Miss Chrysball beat Mrs. Barnard 4 and 3. Miss M. Payton beat Mrs. Walkley at the 20th. Mrs. Orbell beat Miss Richardson, 2 and 1. Miss Petrie beat Mrs. Godby, 2 and 1. Miss Lascelles beat Miss Bell, 4 and 3. - ' Mrs. Hosking beat Mrs. Treadwell 6 and 4. . . Miss B. Gaisford beat Miss WhiteParsons 2 and 1. Miss Pha'razyn beat Mrs. Gower 2 and I. Miss Loughnan beat Miss Guy 5 and 3. Miss Barnett beat Mrs. Collinson !s and 1. • Miss Ward beat Miss M. Innes, 1 up. Mrs. Dodgshun beat Mrs. Cook at the 20th. The following were the best cards returned in the first bogey competition, played in the afternoon: —Miss Richardson (7) 1 down, Miss M. Whyte (15) I down, Miss Dalgleish (11) 2 down, Mrs. Buchanan (12) 3 down, Miss Watson. (4) 3 down, Miss Lascelles (4) 4 down, Mrs. Collins (5) 4 down, Miss Innes (8) 4 down, Mrs. Slater (8) 4 down, Miss Rathbone (6) 4 down, Miss Guy (5) 5 down, Miss Dyer (12) 5 down, Mrs. Feast (10) 5 down, Mrs. McMillan (10) 6 down, Mrs. Endean (11) 6 down, Miss MacFarlane (11) 6 down, Mrs. Mcßae 6 down. The competition was played in two divisions, Miss Richardson (Wellington) winning the prize for those with handicaps from I to 8, and Miss M. Whyte taking the prize for those with handicaps from 9 to 15.
