Women at Cowes. Ten women took part in the Royal Yacht Squadron’s regatta at Cowes recently, and captured two first prizes and a second against some of the best ■ yachtsmen in the country, says the Dailv Mail. The Hon. Mrs. Cecil Brownlow won the Cup in the West Solent and Burnham restricted classes event in her yacht Sapphire, and three other women —Miss Aileen Wade, Mrs. Walcott, and Miss Cochrane sailed “Swyvver” to victory in the Redwing race for Sir Henry McMahon* Cup The second prize in that race was won by Miss Moreton and -Mrs. L. Philips in ‘'Mary Jane.”
