CHURCH SALE OF WORK

As an effort by the ladies of thA church to reduce the liability upon th* I new Sunday School building the annual j sale Of Work of the St. Au by n Methodist Church, New Plymouth, held yesterday, was entirely successful. The hall was well stocked and at the time of the opening by the Mayor (Mr. H. V. S. Griffiths) there were many buyers present. A short musical programme, arranged by Mrs. Rugby Hawkins, followed the opening. Items were given
as follows(Piano solo and accompaniments, Mrs. P. Fredric; song, Mrs. K. .Tones; recitation, Mrs. Nelson Hill; song, Mrs. Cornwall; duet, Mrs. Haw? kins and Mrs. Avery. i, , Mrs. Adamson, president of the ladies’ guild, and Mrs. Berg, secretary, with the help of the other .ladies, arranged the sale of work. The stallholders were: Produce stall, Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. Hughson and Mrs. Malcolm;, lolly stall, Mrs. Avery and Mrs. Thompson; .flowers, Mrs. Charters and Miss Burton; work stall, Mrs. Trewin, Mrs. Hildred; fancy stall and Christmas tree, Mrs. Berg, Mrs. Hoyes, Miss McKinhpy; . calces, Mrs. Loveridge, Mrs. Bailey; refreshments, Mrs. George, Mrs. Hodder, Mrs. Hooker, Mio. Adamson, Mrs, Mclsuac, Mrs. Gilbert. ;
