ALLOWANCES TO COMMITTEES, NO INCREASE'S FOR THIS YEAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In a letter read at. a meeting of the Wellington School. Committees Association the Minister of Education, the Hon H. Atmore, stated that tke. question of larger allowances for -incidental expenses of school committees .had been considered. He regretted that it was not possible during the current year to provide for the increased expenditure f that would be involved. It was understood that education boards would in cases where attendance rolls- were declining make extra provision- out of their °vote for incidental expenses for the schools concerned. . ' The Prime Minister had given f-fl consideration to the matter but regretted' that during the. existing financial conditions no additional capitation grants could be considered at the present time. i
