From a light aeroplane which landed at Croydon yesterday stepped a young man who announced his intention of starting a flight to Australia. After stating 0 his name was Oscar Garden and that his home was Christchurch, Nelv Zealand, he climbed into the aeroplane and flew off. The aerodrome officials have no idea whence he came.

Chabot and- Pickthorne have arrived at Karachi, but in consequence of delays are abandoning the flight and returning by steamer from Karachi.
