RAHOTU NEWS
MAORI PARTY CONCERT. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A big crowd attended a concert given by the Rev. J. Seamer’s Maori party. About £l5 was taken at the door. The vocal and instrumental items, the poi and haka dances and Maori games were well received. Mr. Walker Letlierby, one of the party, was particularly welcomed. He was educated at Rahotu school and his father, Mr. P. Letherby, is still a resident of Rahotu. The Methodist Church had a large congregation on Sunday morning, when the service was. assister by Mr. Seamer and his party. The croquet court on the Kahui Road east is to be opened on Wednesday. It is thought to open the Rahotu court on Labour Day.
