Thomas, if the conference to-day agrees to his proposals that he should be Press; liaison officer. — ‘ Mr. Ramsay Macflonald welcomed the delegates and reviewed the principles before the conference. Conspicuous among the replies were the speeches.of Mr. J. H. Scullin (Australia) and General Hertzog (South Africa). . ;
