CLOSINC/ OF ACTIVE SEASON. At'a meeting of the New Plymouth Harier' Club committee on Wednesday it was decided to hold to-morrow s lun bn t-.i showgrounds. An invitation from the Defence Rifle Club to attend its opening .meeting at the Rewa Rewa Range to-morrow has been accepted. For that reason , the showgrounds have been selected as the place for the weekly run, so that those members who are ■•interested in shooting can attend the Rifle Club’s shoot. . • The date of the annual trip to Mount 'Egmont, which will close the season, has hot yet; been - definitely fixed. Thg annual ladies’ night will be held after the consolation race, when those ladies who have assisted the club and Jady friends of members will be the guests of the club. . ' ' • :It. '.as been decided, that the Waitara read race: will take place on Saturday, October IT, and-on the following Saturday.. the final race of the season will .be held. . ■■ . • , . .'Ab’.the" Wanganui Harrier Club is unable'to'send a team to.
