The Daily Herald’s Imperial Conference correspondents, possibly foreshadowing the attitude of the Labour Government, says: The Imperial Conference is likely to give the quietus to Empire free trade. There is room for improvement in trading methods within the Empire, for an enormous increase in marketing efficiency, for closer association of business interests and more flexible and efficient financing of Imperial trade. 1
