The first through train from Sydney arrived on Saturday, marking the completion of. the first section of the Com-monwealth-wide unification of railway gauges. The duration of the,, journey has been reduced by six hours and a fine stretch of ' coastal and mountain scenery has been opened to travellers. > The border is crossed in a tunnel.
