Approximately 6370 were sold. There was a medium sized offering of greasy Merinos. Spinners wools were offered almost entirely on a speculative account. There was a good supply of scoureds.and a good selection of all New Zealand sorts. There was brisk 7 competition and prices were maintained. New Zealand greasy crossbred Glenralloch, top 9Jd, average BJd; Ngaio Old, Bjd; Tehau 103 d, lOd. The New Zealand scoured Merino combing clip Haldon reached 26d for the best lots. Greasy crossbreds brought 6-Jd to lUd; half-bred slipe lambs fetched 12jd. FEILDING STOCK SALE. PRICES SLIGHTLY EASIER. Feilding, Sept. 26. To-day’s stock sale was somewhat interfered with by heavy rainstorms, which blew across country. The attendance of buyers was less and stock yarded, excepting fat sheep, not up to previous sales either in numbers or quality. Fat hoggets and wethers were about up to last week, but ewes were easier. The few lines of store sheep offered attracted little attention, and the majority of pens passed. Dairy springing heifers, of which there was a large offering, sold well, though not up to last week, partly owing to the lack of quality. Fat cattle were easier. Store cattle.—The few lines which sold were scarcely worth quoting. Fat sheep. —Hoggets, woolly heavy, 295; good, 26s to 275; fair, 22s 3d; light lines, 17s 7d to 19s 6d; shorn hogget, 17s 9d; b.f. hoggets, 16s 9d to 17s 9d. The annual sale of pedigree bulls, cinducted by the Waikato Combined Breeders’ Association, was concluded at Claudelands to-day, when the balance of the catalogue comprising 227 yearling and two-year-old Jerseys, was disposed Of. Only 142 of the total offering were sold to-day, the average price realised being about 14Agns, as compared with averages of 21-Jgns yesterday and liigns on the first day. The highest uriee obtained to-day was 40gns, paid by Mr. F. Strong, of Te Puke, for the yearling Restholme Chum, bred by Mr. J. J. Goodwin, of Morrinsville.
