The music was supplied by Wills’ orchestra, while the catering was in the hands of Mesdames Adams and Evans. A most successful afternoon was held at the residence of the Mayoress, Mrs.' E. A. Pacey, yesterday in aid of the Municipal Band uniform bazaar fund, which will benefit by over £B. About 50 people were present, the Mayoress to receive her guests wearing a. frock of black embroidered georgette. The time was passed most enjoyably with music and play-reading, items being given by Mrs. 1. Buchanan (songs), Mrs.° W. Fyfe (songs), Mrs. M. Wiltshire (violin solo), Miss A. Curtis (pianoforte solo), and Mesdames P. 0. Veale and G. A. Duncan (pianoforte duet). Sir James Barrie’s play, “The Twelve Pound Look,” was read, parts being taken bv Mesdames A. C. Bennett, W. Fyfe, W. G. Strange and W. W. Mundy. The accompadiments were played by Mrs. D. J. Corrigan. Afternoon tea was served and Mrs. Pacey took the opportunity to thank those present for their attendance.
