MATTHEWS AT CALCUTTA
MISS JOHNSON’S TIME EQUALLED. British Wireless. Rugby, Sept. 24. Continuing his solo flight from England to Australia Captain Matthews reached Calcutta at noon to-day from Allahabad and hopes to proceed to Bangkok to-morrow, via Akyab. He has reached Calcutta on the eighth day of the flight, thus equalling -Miss Amy Johnson's time, and is two days ahead of Hinkler’s. '
